Supervision. Boarders are at all times under the supervision of a member of staff. The level of supervision does not drop at weekends or evenings. There should be at least one member of staff sleeping in each boarding house at night. There are satisfactory cover arrangements for boarders who stay at school during 'exeat' weekends, half terms and holiday periods. Staff know the whereabouts of boarders at all times - this includes a signing in and out system for boarders who are allowed to leave the school. Those temporarily away from the school are able to contact staff in an emergency.
Staff/boarder relationships. Disagreements between staff and boarders are sorted out reasonably. Staff should not show favouritism towards individuals or groups.
Privacy. Staff supervision of boarders is by appropriate patrolling and availability in the boarding house rather than by intruding, in any way that embarrasses boarders at sensitive times such as when dressing or bathing.
